Greek embroidery 17th-19th century: Works of art from
the Collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum
Angeliki Hatzimihali Foundation

A selection of 145 pieces of Greek embroidery, from the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Benaki Museum, is used in an attempt to provide a detailed record of three centuries of the art of embroidery, as it took shape throughout Greece. The publication includes a wealth of photographic material, which highlights the technical and illustrative worth of Greek embroidery in full detail.

The introductory note and annotations are written by folklorist Tatiana Ioannou-Yiannara. Angeliki Hatzimichali Foundation and the Benaki Museum, in collaboration with the Greek Centre of London and the Lyceum Club of Greek Women – London Office.

The publication design was conducted by ATOPOS.
